Carne Asada and Crazy Driving!

Monday: We had pday! We did sand volleyball at a volleyball pit in the Sister's apartment complex. It was so much fun! 2 Elders in my district stopped by and left their phone... Also, one of the sets of Elders in the zone are on bikes and needed a ride to the dinner appointment we were all going to. We gave them a ride to our apartment to change then to dinner. We then gave them a ride to their apartment, which was way west!

Then we came back to visit a less active family! We read the Libro de Mormon with them. We read it outside on their patio while Hno. Luna grilled meat for Carne Asada! As we were leaving we got some fresh carne asada tacos! Then we drove way east to get Elder Messinger and Acosta their phone back. They called us from the phone of their Sisters at their dinner appointment. I made the very wise decision to say, instead of meeting somewhere in the middle, we will go to your apartment at 9. That saved a lot of trouble.

Thursday: We taught Lupita and Juaquina the Word of Wisdom! It was my first time! They took it pretty well but we talked a ton about the types of Tea that are allowed. We will see how they do!

Friday: We visited the Luna family again and read more! We are switching off with the Sisters in our branch, Hna Ellis and Lund, to read and pray with the Luna family every night.

Saturday: Elders in our stake and Zone had a baptism! it was really good! Then right after, I gave a baptismal interview to a blind investigator being taught by the zone leaders! We then visited the Romo family! They are amazing! Hno Romo is a member but hasnt always been strong. He is now coming back to church after being in jail. He has a lot of solid faith and a desire to be better and be good!

Sunday: We went to the Sanchez for dinner and they made Carne Asada! 2 times in a week! This was an awesome week! Later we visited the Romo family again! It is amazing to see them grow! They are just so amazing! Plus, They gave us ice cream at the end of our visit :)

Hope you all had an amazing week!

Love,

Elder Dallin Baker
