So this week was intense!
Monday: we did splits and Elder Tyler went with a member to
teach a family about their current job and how they cant do that if they want
to be baptized. He said they accepted it very well so we will see how we can
help them find a better job. Oh and the merry-go-round after playing mini golf
as a district. (Pic below)
Thursday: We vivisted our investigator family and had a
great lesson as we shared some great mormon messages. The mother said this,
"I know I am not baptized yet, but I have a firm testimony that faith and
prayers work!" And we said that you dont have to be baptized to have a
testimony. It was so cool! Later we went down to Columbus to visit a less
active family. They are very kind and we talked to them about their divine
potential. As we talked, we felt inspired to tell and testify to them that they
are the key to building up the kingdom of God in the area of Columbus. It was a
great experience and we could really feel the Spirit.
Friday: We spent a really long time doing weekly planning
and I was getting stir crazy in the apartment... I karate chopped an expo
marker...
Saturday: We had lunch with the less active family in
Columbus and they invited a non-member friend over! We shared a message with
the family then taught the man a lesson! He is super cool and seemed a little
interested but we have hope.
Sunday: It was good! Elder Tyler sang a great song in
sacrament meeting.
Monday: HUGE mission conference. 200 missionaries in the
same building!
This past week was great with getting allergy medicine that
actually works and because I was able to recognize the Spirit in our lessons
and through out the day. I am progressing and I want to progress faster!
Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!
Love,
Elder Dallin Baker
