Douglas: Miracle on 21th Street

So I will explain the subject line with a picture at the end of the email.

This week was pretty good! Busy, a bit stressful, but good!

Eugenio: So he is super funny. There are just things he will say or little things he will do in lessons that are super funny. He had is little Star Wars poster/picture thing up on the wall and it fell during a lesson. He did a hand motion at it and said, "I guess I don't have the Force." There were some other super funny stuff but it was a had-to-be-there moment. He is doing well and he is understanding more and more. We were able to bring members to our lessons with him this week and we reviewed the Restoration. We talked about baptism and praying to know if it is right for him.

Thursday: So we had a Zone Conference in Benson. I drove an hour and a half. Its was a super awesome meeting and I learned a ton! It was about 6 hours long. Then the hour and a half drive home. Oh to start off the trip we found our car pranked by the sisters.

Knocking: We went knocking the other day and as we stood outside a door waiting for someone to answer, I felt nervous! And it surprised me! I guess you feel that way after not knocking for like 3 weeks... But I'm good now! And we have to do a ton of finding this week.

Sunday: Busiest day of the week! We were at the church starting at 8:30. After sacrament, I taught the gospel principles class. Then we had a great priesthood meeting. After we went to have a lesson with Rene but he wasn't home. After lunch with the Velascos, we went to work! We visited Brother Cluff, Nick, then visited Mario and Elizabeth with Bro Innes, then we went and visited with Norma! We taught 5 lessons! It was a packed day!

Spiritual Thought:
Helaman 3:35
Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God.

I really like this scripture because it gives us almost a step-by-step plan to be true disciples of Jesus Christ. As we pray, fast, study the scriptures, develop Christlike attributes, and turn our will to our Heavenly Father, we will become pure and receive ll the promised blessings.

Thank you for the letters!
Have. Great week y'all!

Love,
Elder Dallin Baker
